Grape Hyacinth
This perennial bulb native to southeastern Europe
Some species are among the earliest garden flowers to bloom in the spring
They are planted as bulbs and tend to multiply quickly (naturalise) when planted in good soils
Not a true hyacinth (genus Hyacinthus) - the name Muscari, comes from the Greek word for musk, referring to the scent produced by the flowers
The common name comes from the resemblance to upside-down clusters of grapes
