Health is the Flora of today: Glory of the Snow

Glory of the Snow
A bulbous perennial from western Turkey that flowers in early spring
Named because it blooms early enough that its flowers sometimes poke right out of the snow
Also known as Bossier's (or Lucile's) glory-of-the-snow in honour of Swiss botanist Pierre Edmond Boissier and his wife Lucile
After flowering, it goes into dormancy until the next spring
It is low-maintenance and its blossom has a white center with lilac blue to violet blue petals
