Deciduous shrubs with rough grey-brown bark
Grow to a height of 1–3 m (3 ft – 9 ft ) and rarely 6m (20ft)
Bright yellow flowers are produced in the early spring before the leaves
Named after William Forsyth - founding member of the Royal Horticultural Society
